was acquired by Liz Claiborne

C & C California is a designer, marketer, and wholesaler of premium apparel for women, men, babies, and children. The Company was co-founded by Claire Stansfield and Cheyann Benedict who wanted to build a brand that reflected the ultimate relaxed California attitude inspired by chic and classy fits. The collections include vibrant colors and soft fabrics with a common theme for mixing and matching. Headquartered in Los Feliz, California, the brand is sold in retailers such as Planet Blue, Dari, and Ron Herman as well as department stores as Barneys New York, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus. 

In 2004, C&C California reached out to The Sage Group to explore opportunities in the market. The Company decided to sell to Liz Claiborne Inc. Both Claire Stansfield and Cheyann Benedict will remain at the company as co-presidents.
