Created in 1996 by Rebecca Taylor and her business partner Elizabeth Bugdaycay, the brand is known for its flirty, modern designs, in combination with its attention to detail. The New Zealand native Company delivers a broad yet harmonized collection of multi-occasional tops, dresses, knitwear, jackets, outerwear, and bottoms. 

Since its inception, the Company has gained worldwide recognition with fashion-forward customers around the globe. The brand has also cultivated a vast celebrity clientele including Rashida Jones, Rachel Bilson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Dakota Fanning, and Taylor Swift. Rebecca Taylor is distributed in over 40 countries and has nearly 500 outposts including luxury retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks 5th Avenue, Lane Crawford, Selfridges, and other specialty boutiques. 

The Sage Group served as the exclusive financial advisor to Rebecca Taylor in its sale to Kellwood, and its parent, Sun Capital Partners. As part of Kellwood’s portfolio, the Company will focus on growing the business domestically and internationally. Both Rebecca Taylor and Elizabeth Bugdaycay will stay at the company.
