Charles David is a leading designer, manufacturer, marketer, and retailer of premium women’s footwear and leather goods. Founded in 1987 by Charles Malka, the company is known for trendsetting styles and high-quality products at affordable price points.  The Company’s products are marketed under the Charles David and Charles by Charles David brands and are sold in boutiques and department stores throughout the world. The California-based brand has been a mainstay in the footwear industry providing boots, pumps, sandals, wedges, and flats. 

Charles David engaged The Sage Group to explore potential sale opportunities. Ultimately, the Company was acquired by New York Transit, Inc. whose portfolio of footwear brands includes Ann Marino, Will-Rich, Taryn Rose, and Adrienne Vittadini. The deal will enable the Company to grow in new markets as well as add new categories.
